Keith Dickerson is currently an Instructional Designer and Digital Media Specialist for D+R International, an energy consulting firm that creates educational tools and content for businesses, utility companies, and government agencies.

Previously, he was the Digital Video Technology Teacher in a joint program for Wekiva High School and Orange Technical College. He began his career in education in August 2014. His program focused on the students learning basic knowledge and application of non-linear video editing with both Adobe and Final Cut Pro, photography, cinematography, audio recording and editing, lighting, set designs and props, and sports broadcasting.

Growing up, Keith studied Entertainment Technology for his junior and senior years of high school. There he began working for local businesses and internship opportunities, covering live events and projects such as short films and weddings. He then went on to study and graduate with an associate’s degree in Digital Arts from Horry Georgetown Technical College. He continued his education at the University of South Carolina and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts. In 2021, Keith graduated and earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.

Keith worked four years in live television broadcasting for two NBC affiliate news stations, WMBF News in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and then WIS NEWS 10 in Columbia, South Carolina. He spent his time there working in many positions such as camera operator, sound operator, floor director, and assistant to producers.
